About Volunteering and Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie

Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie, an Essential Service of the United Way of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District recruits volunteers for more than 200 social agencies and non-profit organizations that are constantly in need of volunteers.

This Volunteer Directory Database describes specific volunteer positions, duties, age requirements and much more available in Sault Ste. Marie and across the Algoma District from White River to Spanish River.

All organizations are not included due to changing needs and temporary programs. Others may be contacted through Volunteer SSM or Volunteer Algoma.

The Volunteer Centre is designed to educate the general public on all aspects of volunteerism. We answer the where, when, what and how of volunteerism. Whether it be for the community as a whole, the individual volunteer or the organizations, we are here to help.

Any amount of time you can give is important, and will be deeply appreciated by the agencies and individuals of the Algoma District.
