Week of November 13, 2017



Lonely, isolated, and mostly aged people need someone to care about them.  We are in desperate need of compassionate, friendly drivers to assist with the delivery of healthy meals to shut in clients in our community.  Volunteers and their helper, deliver the meals weekdays from 11:15 am – 1:00 pm.  A neighbor could use your help, please, give us a call.  Current Police Record Check will be required.


Many people need you and you will benefit too…Crisis Responders assist victims of crime and tragic circumstances at the request of local emergency services. Only settings deemed safe by attending Police Officers will be used. All training will be provided and successful completion of training is required before 12 and 24 hour on call shifts can begin. Ideal candidates are over 21 years of age; possess good communication skills, mature, reliable, honest and empathetic



Need energetic courageous souls to brave the weather! The Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie requires honest, pleasant and friendly volunteers to go door to door to raise funds in January. We offer a flexible schedule for volunteers; you choose a time and location convenient to your days activities. Personal references and a current Police Record Check will be required. Hold a hand, hold a heart forever!  Volunteer today!  We are looking for mature caring male and female volunteers who would like to be a friend to a young boy or girl age 6 – 15, by sharing a few hours each week or every other week, for a minimum of one year.  Help a young person believe in themselves and their potential!  Please help shorten the waiting list.  Personal references and a current Police Record Check will be required.
