Community Volunteer Requests

Volunteers give the world a boost…Crisis Responders assist victims of crime and tragic circumstances at the request of local emergency services. Only settings deemed safe by attending Police Officers will be used. All training will be provided and successful completion of training is required before 12 and 24 hour on call shifts can begin.  Ideal candidates are over 21 years of age; possess good communication skills, mature, reliable, honest and empathetic.

Hold a hand, hold a heart forever!  Volunteer today!  We are looking for mature caring male and female volunteers who would like to be a friend to a young boy or girl age 6 – 15, by sharing a few hours each week or every other week, for a minimum of one year.  Help a young person believe in themselves and their potential!  Please help shorten the waiting list.  Personal references and a current Police Record Check will be required.

Volunteers bring beauty to life…  If you have a valid drivers license, and are available the third Thursday of each month for a few hours, we are looking for drivers to deliver Good Food Boxes. You would be helping families and/or neighbours to benefit from this generous act of kindness. Gas allowance is provided. Your help is needed.

The Salvation Army is looking for 6 volunteers at the food bank to receive food donations and prepare food hampers. The positions will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for a minimum of 3 months. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with others, is accepting of others and is able to follow instructions. If interested give us a call!
